How old do my children have to be to go in the pool on their own?

Our centre follows Watch Around Water guidelines:

  • Children under 5  must have a parent/guardian in the water with them, within arms reach at all times.
  • Children under 10 must be constantly supervised and remain in clear view of a parent/guardian at all times.
  • While the wave machine is in operation, children under 10 must be within arm's reach of a parent/guardian at all times.
  • Kingston Active reserves the right to remove any child from the water if their safety is of concern. 

 

Can my child and I swim together after my child's swimming lesson?

Yes, on the day of the lesson. Outside of your lesson time, if you are on the Learn to Swim Direct Debit Membership, only the enrolled child receives free swim entry, any accompanying adults must pay regular entry fees if they are swimming or a spectator.

 

Do you have family changing rooms?

Yes, family change cubicles are are located on pool deck. Children aged 5 years and under may accompany their parent/guardian into the change rooms regardless of gender. 

 

Do you have accessible pools?

Yes, we have a hoist to give access to the 50m pool and we also have aqua wheelchairs for entry into the Wave Pool. Let the customer service staff or lifeguards know if you require use of this equipment.

 

How do I know if there are lanes available to do laps in?

We have a Lap Lane availability on our website  which is updated regularly with lane allocations and bookings.

 

What membership and visit pass options are available at your centre?

Aquatic Memberships are available which include access to the pools, spa, sauna and steam room. For those just wanting to use the pools, we offer Multi Visit Passes in packs of 10, 20 and 50. Concession rates are available.
